AUSCHWITZ I |
The extermination of the Jewish people was a key point in the history of the short century and, trough the memory, is necessary to preserve and renew the historical identity that this tragedy helped to create. Auschwitz is a place of incredible emotional power. Everything exudes death and suffering and when we're visiting the camp we're outclassed by emotions, so we can identify with all that pain and evoke something there is no more apparently. The memory becomes a tool of warning and as reaction it allows us to exorcise evil and keep it away. Do not forget it is a duty, and, 70 years from happening stimulate new thinking is essential because racism, intolerance and prejudices still undermine the peaceful coexistence among people and nations .
